How to submit from within the game

Windows

Setup

1. Make sure your game is on the latest version (released on or after February 1st 2024).
   Launch and then close the game once.
   Note: this means it will not work for modded installs currently, as modding requires an old build.
2. Locate your game folder
   1. Steam: C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\My Games\Opus Magnum\<Steam Id>\
   2. Other: C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\My Games\Opus Magnum\NonSteamUser\
3. Within that folder find and open config.cfg with a text editor
4. Replace ExternalLeaderboardURLs = with
   ExternalLeaderboardURLs = https://zlbb.faendir.com/om/game-api/<Submitter Name>
   Make sure to fill in your submitter name! (without the angle brackets)
5. In the in-game settings, disable Hermit Mode if it is enabled.

Usage

1. Build a valid solution for a puzzle on the leaderboards.
2. Record a gif for it. Once recording is done you should see an air atom flash for a few seconds in the bottom right quarter of your screen.
3. That's it! Your solution was submitted and if it won anything you'll be able to find it on the leaderboards.

Note: There is currently no feedback within the game what happened with your submission.
If you want this, lobby Zach and/or the modding community to build something.

Linux/MacOS

Currently unsupported. Go bother Zach and/or the modding community about updating Mono.
