It would have been great if one was able to mod the Switch version of Celeste with Everest.

Additional context

There was an unofficial map pack for Celeste on Switch at some point: https://gamebanana.com/mods/150576

It is using this toolkit: https://github.com/leo60228/Fuji

Unfortunately, it only works with older versions of Celeste...

Porting Everest to console versions of Celeste is practically impossible. Console versions are AoT compiled, but MonoMod (and subsequently Everest and every single Everest mod) depend on the game being JIT compiled. This fundamentally prevents getting Everest and every mod to run on it without making another mod loader from scratch. The closest you'll get to that is running Celeste on a modded Switch running Linux.

Unfortunately, MonoMod does not support ARM64 (the processor architecture Switch is based on). There does however exist a patcher helping people run Celeste on ARM64 called Celeste-ARM64. It's not officially supported but I've heard of people having decent success with it.

Update (y2025-m08-d17):

ARM64 support was recently merged into MonoMod and a NuGet release was just made today. While this won't help getting Everest to run natively on Switch, it is good news for people running Linux on one.

As Snip said, this is not technologically possible. Fuji did not include Everest, it only allowed adding/patching content files, which is why it was shipped as a prepped mod pack. Any code modifications are out of the question, which means dynamically loading mods or using any mod other than, like, a texture replacement or a map with only vanilla entities would not work.
