JustBlockWebsites

A simple Chrome extension that blocks websites and redirects to a custom URL. Perfect for staying focused!

Installation

1. Clone the repository

   git clone <repository-url>
   cd JustBanWebsites

2. Open Chrome Extensions Page

   • Go to chrome://extensions/
   • Enable "Developer mode" (toggle in top-right)

3. Load the Extension

   • Click "Load unpacked"
   • Select the JustBanWebsites folder
   • Done! The extension is now installed

4. Pin the Extension (Optional)

   • Click the puzzle piece icon (🧩) in Chrome's toolbar
   • Find "JustBlockWebsites" and click the pin icon

Usage

1. Click the extension icon
2. Click "⚙️ Settings"
3. Add banned websites (one per line):

   x.com
   facebook.com
   twitter.com
   

4. Set your redirect URL (default: https://www.google.com)
5. Click "Save Settings"

That's it! The extension will now block those websites and redirect to your chosen URL.

Temporarily Disable

• Click the extension icon
• Click "Disable (5 min)" - it will auto re-enable after 5 minutes
• Or click "Enable Now" to re-enable immediately

Updating

To get the latest version:

git pull

Then reload the extension:

1. Go to chrome://extensions/
2. Find "JustBlockWebsites"
3. Click the refresh icon (🔄)
