A simple Chrome extension that blocks websites and redirects to a custom URL. Perfect for staying focused!

Clone the repository
git clone <repository-url> cd JustBanWebsites

Open Chrome Extensions Page
- Go to
chrome://extensions/ - Enable "Developer mode" (toggle in top-right)
- Go to

Load the Extension
- Click "Load unpacked"
- Select the
JustBanWebsitesfolder - Done! The extension is now installed

Pin the Extension (Optional)
- Click the puzzle piece icon (🧩) in Chrome's toolbar
- Find "JustBlockWebsites" and click the pin icon
- Click the extension icon
- Click "⚙️ Settings"
- Add banned websites (one per line):
x.com facebook.com twitter.com - Set your redirect URL (default: https://www.google.com)
- Click "Save Settings"
That's it! The extension will now block those websites and redirect to your chosen URL.
- Click the extension icon
- Click "Disable (5 min)" - it will auto re-enable after 5 minutes
- Or click "Enable Now" to re-enable immediately
To get the latest version:
git pullThen reload the extension:
- Go to
chrome://extensions/ - Find "JustBlockWebsites"
- Click the refresh icon (🔄)
- Block any website by adding it to your list
- Custom redirect URL
- Temporary disable (5 min auto re-enable)
- Clean, modern UI
Emrehan couldn't find a proper extension to block websites, so he asked Cursor to build this one. If you need improvements, go ask Cursor! 😄
