Unlocker Status

The Unlocker project will be placed into archive mode as there are no plans for future development. There is no reason to stop using it but VMware has dropped support for macOS guests in future versions and there is the obvious issue that Apple has moved away from Intel.

Two important points that are raised many times.

1. AMD support

AMD CPUs will not work with Ventura or Sonoma, and there are no workarounds possible withe the Unlocker.

2. Anti-virus false positives

There is an issue that some AV software gives a false positive for the Unlocker. This is a known issue with both the Go compiler and Go based executables. This is a problem for many executables written in the Go language.
