i'm a statistics phd student at UC Irvine. previously, i was college student at UC Santa Barbara, majoring in mathematics. i originally had ambitions to be a programmer, such as a software engineer, but have since dropped that after realizing my greater interest in mathematics. i enjoy statistics because, in its modern inception, it lies at the intersection of mathematics, programming, and data analytics.
