DOID Network Node

Quick Start

  • Make a folder for DOID node
  • Download and extract available executable files from releases page
  • Download sample config file from releases page
  • Put them in the folder just made
  • Execute the doidnode binary

Start From code

git clone https://github.com/DOIDFoundation/node
cd node
go run ./cmd/doidnode start --testnet

Flags

go run ./cmd/doidnode start --help

Current available flags:

Flags:
      --db.engine string         Backing database implementation to use ('memdb' or 'goleveldb') (default "goleveldb")
  -h, --help                     help for start
  -m, --mine.enabled             Enable mining
      --mine.miner string        Miner address to be included in mined blocks
      --mine.threads uint        Number of threads to start mining, 0 indicates number of logical CPUs
      --p2p.addr strings         Libp2p listen address (default [/ip4/0.0.0.0/tcp/26667,/ip4/0.0.0.0/udp/26667/quic])
      --p2p.key string           Private key to generate libp2p peer identity
      --p2p.keyfile string       Private key file to generate libp2p peer identity (default "p2p.key")
  -r, --p2p.rendezvous string    Libp2p rendezvous string used for peer discovery, do not change this unless you need a private network (default "doidnode")
      --rpc.http.addr string     RPC over HTTP listen address (default "127.0.0.1:8556")
      --rpc.http.enabled         Enable RPC over http
      --rpc.ws.addr string       RPC over websocket listen address (default "127.0.0.1:8557")
      --rpc.ws.enabled           Enable RPC over websocket
      --rpc.ws.origins strings   Origins from which to accept websockets requests (default [*])

Global Flags:
      --home string               directory for config and data (default "/Users/xeroo/.doidnode")
      --log.level string          level of logging, can be debug, info, error, none or comma-separated list of module:level pairs with an optional *:level pair (* means all other modules). e.g. 'consensus:debug,mempool:debug,*:error' (default "info")
      --networkid int8            Explicitly set network id, (For testnets: use --testnet instead) (default 1)
      --testnet                   Start from testnet
      --trace                     print out full stack trace on errors

Build

make doidnode

Cross compiling

make linux-amd64

Available targets are "linux-386 linux-amd64 linux-arm64 windows-386 windows-amd64 darwin-amd64 darwin-arm64"

Enable sqlite support

Sqlite is used to store blocks by miner

BUILD_TAGS=sqlite make doidnode
