I would recommend using Llama and not Vicuna and making sure you use the right version. Then this resolved it for me.

@BennoKrojer hi~ I still got non-sense output when shifting to Llama2-7b-chat-hf. Do you get understandable output when shifting to Llama2? Thanks!
