Opacity/alpha of Picture And Symbol widgets

My users are requesting the ability to set the opacity of a picture and symbol widget. The idea is to control such a property from a rule or script in order to realize an animation behavior using the opacity to indicate intensity level.

Any comments?

Since the Symbol widget already has a boolean "transparent" property it would be a bit messy to replace this with a double "opacity" property. Will limit this to adding opacity to the Picture widget.
