BOY open detached sometimes doesn't open in databrowser perspective

BOY open detached sometimes doesn't open in databrowser perspective, I get the following error below. If I change to OPI runtime perspective the viewpart opens fine.

Can you reproduce it?
I use the 'master' as of right now, open Data Browser Perspective, reset it to make sure there's nothing different, then open /BOY Examples/4_Actions_1.opi and press the "Open OPI as Detached View" button. Tried several times, looks OK.

There's no line number, but I see only one Runnable that includes a cast to IOPIRuntime, so that's probably it.
RunModeService.java is different for master and 4.0.x, so I wouldn't want to mess much more with it, but that exact section is the same in both, so we could add some instanceof check to turn the error into a warning, and learn more next time you get into this situation.

Good resp. bad for you. Works fine here on OS X and Linux, master as well as 3.2.x.
Still, see branch bug_306 which should avoid the exception.

Put that onto master and 4.0.x as well, but since I cannot reproduce the issue, I also don't get the (new) warning that would show which View it's trying to cast by accident. Lemmeknowwhatyousee.
