One thing that saved me after using Media Composer for 30 years was to learn Final Cut Pro. It's a massive community and whilst it's not about the tools, It has opened up a huge avenue of creativity for me. Also because it's universally loathed in traditional workflows, it seems to offer a refreshing alternative approach.

You may still struggle to get traditional gigs but definitely worth looking at alternatives content production you might be new to.
