The textbox has color: inherit. If you remove that CSS property the textbox looks fine (readable). I'd love to fix this (and some other CSS bugs like the transparent autocomplete list in the payment entry family field), but I might need a pointer as to where the CSS (or precursor files) are hidden and how the master CSS is built.

See issue #1629 - same thing. We need to explicitly target a range of selects, since this inherits from normalize.less. I'm just as new to the project, or I'd point you in the right direction. But I suspect you need to look at src/skin/churchcrm.scss and the dependencies that calls (in the src/skin/scss folder). I'm having trouble getting a development vagrant box running and I'm completely new to travis so I don't know what triggers a rebuild.

@dschwen - Now that I've got vagrant working, I see in the build sequence that sass is watching src/skin/scss/churchcrm.scss and compiling it into src/skin/churchcrm.min.css. While the vagrant box is running, that is. Hope that helps.

we just need to move to the select2 box as people may have many entries and it is good to have a the search/look ahead
