Instead of re-transcoding all video on a <6.3 system to get separate audio. Is it possible to just create a new separate audio file and not re-transcode all of the video? And just create a new m3u8 playlist?
Yes this would be a hack of sorts, but should be way faster to create than re-crunching all of the video files.
Yes there would be no size benefit for previous clips, but if the priority is possibly getting ROKU compatibility (even casting to ROKU is a <6.3 issue), then this could be a HUGE time saver on large libraries. Thoughts?
