Sonoma

What is your CPU's model?

Intel Core i9 14900K

What is your GPU's model?

AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT

Please describe the behaviour in detail.

When I try games like Shadows of The Tomb Raider, some elements or the lighting shows green, in other 3D programs like Blender in the Solid Viewport and Rendered Metal Viewport show perfect no problems, but Material Viewport fails to show image, in some cases like the game some green areas or in more complex 3d designs just a green screen.

Bug report submission terms

  • I am using the latest version of NootRX.
  • I am on the latest minor and patch version of macOS (ex. 7 is the minor and 10 is the patch of macOS 11.7.10).
  • The bug only happens with NootRX enabled.
  • I have ruled out any external factors that could interfere, including, but not limited to, using OCLP or WhateverGreen.

@bioraft-xx Interesting, would you be able to try it on macOS Monterey?

Hello, I could install today Monterey to test it, 12.7.2 the latest, Blender was fixed, in material viewport it shows correctly the scene, but the game still the same, no changes...

@bioraft-xx Sorry for the delay. I assume the game is not native, and runs through Wine/CrossOver, correct?

Well, I am not sure if it’s a bug with the game; I’ve seen this game online have glitches on Mac, from a google search

The thing is I have a RX 6600, with Mac OS native support and the both games runs and looks perfect, with no visual glitches, just in case I tested with another RX 6700 XT but the same problem, this green artifacts.

Metro Exodus RX6700XT NootRX
RX6700XT NootRX Full Green Glare
Same issue here. Most games run great except Metro Exodus and Hitman show this green overlay. Looks like a shader issue. Running Sonoma with RX6700XT. This did not happen with my previous GPU, RX580 which did not require the NootRX kext, only whatevergreen and some tweaks.
Second screenshot is just after a restart so this green glare is even random!
