Hello,
I was playing with the Imagery Layers showcase in this sandcastle.

I copied the extent for the single imagery into the US weather radar data layer, and deactivated all other layers - and what I get are what I think we call artifacts (?). Is this an issue or expected?

The first (or base) layer in the ImageryLayerCollection is special in that it is always stretched to cover the entire world. I believe that's what you're seeing. You can work around that by adding a different base layer. A one pixel, transparent image would work fine.

It's also possible that you're seeing issue #416, which is not specific to the TMS imagery provider, despite the title.
