Auto Enable Direct Monitoring on T1 When Controller Connects

I’m enjoying using the T1 controller with my projects—thank you for this amazing project!

In my setup, I normally connect it to a PC and use it as an audio interface with my DAW via the Tonex VST. In this case, I turn Direct Monitoring off in the Tonex Editor.

However, when I switch to using the controller, I need Direct Monitoring turned on. Sometimes, I forget to turn it on, which causes the controller to produce no sound in rehearsal spaces.

I’ve looked into MIDI control, but it seems that this function cannot be triggered via MIDI—there doesn’t appear to be a protocol or command for it in the datasheet.

I’m wondering:

1. Is it possible to develop a feature that automatically enables Direct Monitoring when the controller is connected?

2. Or, is there a specific MIDI message or protocol that could be used to trigger Direct Monitoring?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi. I already have direct monitoring disabled from code, see below.
What version of firmware are you running? There have been changes in this area in different versions.

i updated v1.0.9.2 -> V1.0.10.2 -> V2.0.0.2
but it happens often

sometime works, but sometimes doesn't

but when sync is finish, sounds stop

Do you mean that if you enable direct monitoring in the Tonex software, when you connect the controller, it turns it off again?
