Interlaced 3D modes skip 3 lines. #99
Comments
I took my 3D screen and harddrive to a friends place a few days ago and connected both up to his newer PC which has an RTX3060 GPU. After leaving I thought to myself that I didn't immediately notice any issues with missing lines, although I'm unable to 100% confirm at this stage as didn't think about it until later. I was using the same software and playing directly from my own hard drive so the install was no different. My own GPU is just the very old integrated Intel HD4000 of my 2012 model laptop so perhaps that's where the issue is. |
Interlace reconstruction mode shows 3 lines across the screen for me, so it's not just you. RTX 3070 here. You can see it in normal interlace mode, too, it's just a bit harder. Well, it's really hard to see in the interlaced image, but look at the top left and you'll see two interlaced lines along the rock edges that swap dark/light on the same line. |
I can actually see 4 lines in your images, two at the top in the sky, one level with the top of the guy's head and one level with the bottom of the NW text on the compass. So in the same places as I am seeing them I think although you have an additional one at the top of the screen. |
I mentioned this on discord but thought I'd add a report here to better keep track.
I've noticed that the line interlaced 3D modes skip 3 complete lines (edit: I originally thought it was only 2 but since noticed a third). I have not tested other resolutions but is at least happening at 1080.
I'm using the Y axis option for pinball, but it also occurs when using x axis, swaps eye or no swap eyes.
If you look at the image attached at full size you should be able to see the line faults which appear as single line distortion to the right of the arrows (plus one more missing line that I havent indicated that is harder to see in this image but is close to the top of the screenshot). The distortion runs the complete length of the screen meaning 3 lines are missing from the interlacing. The lines are always in the same place no matter what adjustments or pinball tables I play.
Thanks in advance for anything you can do to correct the issue.
