In July 2016 we reported on the extent of the trade in fake goods in England's biggest cities.
The data came from Freedom of Information requests to local authorities across the country.
Dan Wainwright created an interactive map of counterfeit goods seized in the biggest cities. You can explore that here.
- A CSV spreadsheet showing each seizure of counterfeit goods showing the area, postcode, type, quantity, and unit of measurement is available in this GitHub repo here
- The same data is also available in a Google spreadsheet here
- The wording of the Freedom of Information request used for the story, and the template spreadsheet sent with that.
- The latest UK Intellectual Property Crime Report was used in reporting the story
