Login error even on first enrollment

Minimal steps to reproduce

launch the app from a Android device emulator

Any log messages given by the failure

After successful installation of App on the Android virtual phone --> Sign-in failed check your username and password and try again message banner.

Expected/desired behavior

This first time enrollment so App should actually allow creation of the account

OS and Version?

Windows 7, 8 or 10. Linux (which distribution). macOS (Yosemite? El Capitan? Sierra?)
Android 10.0 virtual (emulated)phone

Versions

Node.js 14, JDK 8.0 used to ready and install the app
