I just have a curious question, does it will be updated to the new versions or its a all abandoned project? Cause it really is a useful thing when you used to daily driving on the game. Thank you for the answer.

I don't plan on updating this, as I never update my simracing rig to avoid things braking randomly.

If enough people ask, I could update it.

Please please please, update it, please. The mod is very cool!

Alright. I'll try and install the latest CSP on a test PC to see what's going on.

I'll do my best to take a look this week.

I just tried on a vanilla PC. Will new CM and CSP (default, 0.1.79) it works fine.

I'll update CSP to 0.2.4 which seems to be the latest version and see what's going on.

0.2.4 is the version I am at and the version where this cool mod stopped working 😢

Actually I just tested, all versions above 0.1.79 are fucked.
They do shift (except 0.2.4) but is not at all how the gearbox is supposed to behave.

Only 0.1.79 is working as expected.
I'm going to read the changelogs of CSP to see what they changed starting at 0.2.0 to fuckup the gearbox, then 0.2.4 so see why it totally broke at that version.

It is extremely odd though, because the python app seems to be reading the correct values from AC, and the keyboard key mapping seems still supported.

Very strange behaviour. Thanks for looking into it.

Ok, the bug seems to be with the timer counting the numbers of seconds since the last downshift.
Which is used to prevent the gearbox from jumping erratically gears quickly.

I try to dig and see what's causing the counter to be auto-reset every ~2 seconds

edit: my bad, it's actually the app, trying to downshift every 2sec. But the actual downshift being ignored. Still, progress.

I opened an issue with the CSP maintainers, as I'm mostly stuck ac-custom-shaders-patch/acc-extension-config#501

I have a few more minutes available, will check if there is any alternate way of sending the upshift/downshift instructions to AC.

Feel free to push the issue, without harassing them. That might help ;)

Thanks, I will!

Maintainers of CSP have acknowledged the bug, it's on track to be resolved :)
