Hi! I was wondering if it could be possible to implement in the recipe document a section to indicate what item to create if the craft fails.

For example, let's say I want to brew a healing potion. The recipe sheet would look like this:

Attendant: Herbalism Kit
Cost: 10 gp
Ingredients: Red Cap (3) + Vial (1) + Water source (1)
Skill: Wisdom check DC 12
Result: Potion of Healing
Failure: Weird Potion

I think it would be interresting to players and it would give them some kind of weird reward for the time they took to craft the item, even though it failed. Maybe they could put it to good use or try and drink it if they're wild enough.

I will think of it.

The problem i have with it is: this would require an additional ui field to display and drop failed items to.
Currently i will already advance the ui by allowing mulitple checks with tools or fallback abilities.

-> at some point the crafting becomes cumbersome and hard to understand too many possibilities might result in frustating expierience using it.
Especially for requests outside the main stream e.g. i feel that only below 10% of users will make use of it.
However the more people request this the better the possibility i will implement it.

I will look at this again after the multi checks and will see if it then still fits into.

This feature could be expanded even more, and I think it could be possible not only to generate alternative results on failure, but also to consider setting multiple dc segments to generate another alternative result when the specified dc is reached.
