Waybar won't refresh - ever

After I start Waybar, it won't refresh ever again. The clock is stuck at the time of start and the other indicators won't refresh on state change either. I ran this for several hours.

This is an issue that came up recently, I haven't changed anything significant in my configuration since. If started from the shell, there are no relevant error messages (except from MPD about the server being disconnected). I ensured that there are no multiple instances running.

Waybar 0.10.4-2, Sway 1:1-9.5 on Archlinux.
