Did some searching but not found an answer, so here I am.
On Linux LMDE (Debian 11 based) 64 bit.
$ uname -a
Linux hp-compaq-sfdt 5.10.0-25-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.10.191-1 (2023-08-16) x86_64 GNU/Linux
My SDRPlay v1 is working OK with GQRX (v2.16 built from source) using SoapySDR and the SoapySDRPlay module (also built from source) with of course the SDRPlay API installed. (V3.something from memory.)
As others have recomended SDR++ I took a look. Firstly, the release version (NOT the nightly build) installed via the .deb file, when started crashes and burns badly...
The nightly build (again via .deb file) runs great with a RTL SDR stick, but is very creaky using SoapySDR and it's RTL functionality. But the main problem is, even after a clean start (GQRX NOT running, but the SDRPlay service IS running, and the device is connected) SDR++ does not show the SDRPlay as an option under SoapySDR. So... What am I doing wrong (this time?)
As above, with GQRX, SoapySDR, SoapySDRPlay & API, it works OK.
(Currently running as a panadapter from my HF rig's 8.83MHz 1st IF output as I type this.)
But no show in SDR++, even when a clean reboot has been done, with device connected, API present, and service running.
