Unicode issue with JSON() SELECT INTO

Hi,

I'm creating a table via a SELECT:

SELECT * INTO chinMnem FROM JSON("json/chinese-mnemonics.json")

The chinese-mnemonics.json is in UTF-8 and has non-ASCII characters.

However, when imported into the database, non-ASCII Unicode characters are garbled.

Is this to be expected?

No, its not. Any chance you can share some of the content in chinese-mnemonics.json ?
