Issue Details

  1. Mass Download of Configuration Profiles
There is currently no way to mass download configuration profiles for clients. While this is manageable for individual users, it becomes time-consuming when working with a large number of devices in an Apple environment.

  2. Identifying Downloaded Configuration Profiles
There is no way to distinguish between downloaded configuration profiles, as they all have the same name.

Proposed solution

  1. Client Management Page
Implement a dedicated client management page where various tasks can be performed more efficiently. This could include onboarding, moving multiple clients between servers, quickly retrieving server addresses, clearing logs/statistics for multiple devices, or removing multiple devices.

  2. Profile Naming
Name each downloaded profile according to its corresponding client name to easily identify which configuration profile belongs to which client.

Alternative solution

  • Profile Download Enhancements
Provide an option to download configuration profiles in a batch, with the ability to include identifying details in the filename or metadata to differentiate between profiles.

Additional notes, as client names can change, the option to use instead a static identifier could be an option.
