Would this only be for strings? If it worked for all input types, we'd have to strip after converting to a string. For example:
class Interaction < ActiveInteraction::Base boolean :b def execute b end end Interaction.run!(b: ' 1 ') # => true

For what it's worth, Mutations only strips string attributes. Check out line 30 of string_filter.rb.
