ISO-GPS standards What do the standards say ? In mechanical engineering Geometrical specifications must comply with the rules of the ISO standards cited in the Geometrical Product Specification (GPS) matrix model (see ISO 14638), including but not limited to:
ISO 8015 for general concepts, principles and rules ;
ISO 286-1, ISO 14405-1, ISO 14405-2 and ISO 14405-3 for size indication and tolerancing
ISO 129-5 for the dimensioning of structural steelwork,
ISO 1101, ISO 2692, ISO 5458 and ISO 7083 for the indication of geometrical specifications,
ISO 1302 and ISO 25178-1 for the indication of surface condition and surface defects,
ISO 2538-2 for the indication and tolerancing of corners,
ISO 3040 for the indication of cones.
