Maintain External Connections During Production Push

Distributor does a great job of transferring post content between our Staging Site A and Staging Site B. Now we plan to implement as part of a biweekly push to production sites. Marketing team updates content on Staging Site A, then site is pushed to Production Site A. We want Production Site A to distribute post content to Production Site B after the biweekly push. Is there a feature with the plugin to not overwrite the Distributor settings, External Connections, and Application Passwords? I was hoping that the Distributor data was stored in its own table, which could then be ignored during the push. I know of ways to maintain individual rows in a table, though this becomes complex. I also realize that setting and connections can be manually updated each time, though I am hoping there is a simpler, automated process.

There is no feature or setting in the plugin to perfectly handle that, no. As part of your push from staging to production you'll likely need to edit the mapping table to update the domains in user, perhaps something from https://10up.github.io/distributor/tutorial-post-meta.html or elsewhere on the developer documentation site will have the hooks you need to do that.
