Deep Editor Integration

AI that understands your cursor position and document context. Content appears exactly where you need it.

What is Deep Editor Integration?

VaultAI tracks:

  • Your cursor position
  • Current line context
  • Surrounding content (7 lines before/after)
  • Document structure (headers, lists, formatting)

Insert Mode

The core feature - AI responses insert directly at your cursor position.

How to Use

  1. Position cursor where you want content
  2. Open VaultAI (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+V)
  3. Click 📍 button to enable Insert Mode (turns green)
  4. Ask anything - responses insert automatically

Use Cases

  • Mid-paragraph: "expand on this idea"
  • End of sentence: "add supporting evidence"
  • Between sections: "create a smooth transition"
  • After headers: "create bullet points for this topic"

Editor Commands

Access via Command Palette (Ctrl/Cmd+P):

Generate Content at Cursor

  • Analyzes cursor position and context
